Poor customer services and over charging of late fees and other bs corporations fees

Charged me over 1400.00 in late fees along with 1000s of dollars in corporate fees.. This bank is fraudulent and need to have a congressional investigation into there Thieft of funds and poor customer service...This bank does what they want and investigation itself with any complaints against them. The fox in charge of the chicken Coop has to stop imeaditly... I give them a *** for all the bs they try to feed you... stay far away from Fifth Third Bank!!! Very unprofessional...

Resetting a password

In 2024, why am I being told to drive 2.5 hours to the closest branch to reset my password for an online account? How is that even suggested? This is only one of my hundred complaints. This only tops being told to drive another 2.5 hours back to the same branch once my mortgage got sold to them to resign paperwork because they neglected to notarize it correctly.

Mailed payment

I mailed my payoff payment in on 2/12 and was told by my bank that the check had not been cashed. After speaking with a 5th3rd Rep, I learned that my payment had not been posted because it has not been received. We verified the address and I will verify my tracking information. Only use 5th3rd Bank if you are willing to pay a wire transfer fee or be close enough to a physical 5th3rd Bank where you can go in and make your payments.

The process by which you handle the title returns after payment has been received is total BS. Once the check clears the title should be mailed immediately. I see now why your customer service rating is 1.1. Ill never do business with this bank again!!!

I need to withdraw some funds from an IRA account held by the brokerage side of the bank. I have the direct phone number for my broker.

His bloody voicemail is full and he cannot take any more messages. He no longer answers his phone. The number I was given at the branch for Adam, first name only, is only for employees. So that was a waste of time.

Finally, I tried calling what was listed as the number for the branch near me. It wasn't, it was for a national level number. 5th 3rd used to be a good bank. But in the last several years the back office of the bank, and in particular their IT group, have become pathetic.

And their regional woman who handles mortgages cannot figure out the simplest thing on a computer.

Do not use her either. First name of Janice I think.

Locked out of my account

I use face recognition for my online banking, and my face just wasnt catching with the camera and I ended up locking myself out of my bank app after trying to keep using my face recognition. So I tried to sign into it with the passcode itself, and it said I locked myself out of my account for me to get a hold of you guys. It told me to also hit the forgot password button so I could put in information to get it back up but it kept saying my information was incorrect.

Irate customer

Unfortunately, my mortgage was sold to 5/3

5 mos ago. After making 1st payment, I went to a branch and filled out paperwork to start autopay on the 5th of ea month.

(Im retired on SSI and small pension and get paid 1st and 3rd ea no) 1st payment withdrew on 5. The second on the 3rd and this last one on the 1st which was too soon and overdrafted my account $36! Went back to the branch and same acct mgr looked up paperwork and verified we did choose the 5th! Together we called the complaint hotline.

They said theyd call in a few days. This a.m. I got a survey from them which would not open so now Im extremely dissatisfied! Will never do any banking with 5/3 ever again.

I have discussed this issue with my original mortgage advisor! I think 5/3 owes me $36 at the very least and a letter for my own bank claiming fault of overdraft!

They claim they have since adjusted autopay to the 5th - heard that before!!! Livid!!
