I've been trying to work with them since December, 2010 and have filed tons of paperwork only to be told that no change could be made to my home loan for totally lame reasons. I have a lien on the house. This should be a reason to help me not to turn me down. I've had cancer. I have $15,000 in medical bills. 127df60

| 2. Written by Fifth Third Modificatin is a j on February 9, 2012 from -, -, - It took us from May 2011, until February 2012 to get the loan modified. They take their sweet time and request more paper work and more paper work. I called every day, twice a day for four months until they got sick of me. I called managers, and everyone. It was only after I called them so often that they finally assisted. They are not pro-active and don't care. |

I am behind one momth in my mortgage and am being charged 55 dollars in late fee. This amounts to more than I am paying on the principal of the mortgage. Be aware of not dealing with fifth third bank. |
| 4. Written by manickats on June 24, 2011 from toledo, ohio, US We were 2 days away from closing and had been told to cancel our mortgage payment for that month. So we did and we paid some other bills with some of the money. That was when the call came turning us down and they said they never told us not to pay our mortgage so they lied right there. We had to borrow from their quickie loan thing to pay the mortgage and when we tried to get a direct deposit from another source to buy food, they took that money to pay on the loan. That's just plain theft. Now we are even further behind on our bills and Fifth Third doesn't care as long as they get their money. We are considering a lawyer because we've been lied to and cheated to the max. |
| 5. Written by Desparte on May 27, 2011 from richardson, texas, US Me and my daughter purchased a home in 2007. She lost her job right after the purchase and that's when our struggle begin. By the grace of God we have been able to make the payments although we have been late several times. I called Fifth Third and explained our situation and requested for a hardship reduction or loan modification in December 2010. The first time I filed they lost my application and all my paperwork I sent in. Then I requested again in February 2011. This is when I found out the first paperwork had been lost. Went thru the whole process again and was told that they needed some more paperwork. I sent that paperwork as requested. I waited three weeks and no one had contacted me so I made a phone call and was told someone would contact me. It was a week later and no contact so I called again. Finally talked to a loan officer for him to tell me that me and my daughter made too much money to qualify for any modification even if we are struggling to pay the mortgage. This really upset us because we have been struggling all this time to make our payments, but they don't hesitate to call about the payment after a few days after the 15th of the month. With risiing cost of food, gas, ect. it has been diffcult to maintain our household, but they don't care about your situation, just their money. I truly wished that we never got involved with this bank. They have no concern about helping you thru dificult times. All they care about is you paying them and paying on time. I really want to get out from under Fifth Third because of their business practices. I am desparate for help before things get bad. Desparte for help |
