Fifth Third Bank has extremely antiquated technology and it's a way for them find ways to charge you fees. They require that you do online internet banking...during branch hours. What is the point of internet banking then?! They charged me fees because I was transferring funds and paying bills online after 7pm. What?!?! I spoke to operator Tracy(would not give operator ID)in the call center and Supervisor Vernetta(Operator ID VS1MOC3A). They... Read more

My husband passed away almost 3 years ago. He is still getting letters from Fifth Third Bank and P. Brian Moore. Nothing like another painful reminder that he is gone. Thanks Fifth Third!! I have phoned, been to branch offices, written e-mails and jumped through enough hoops to reach from here to Cincinnati where the letters originate. I even had to sign a form that stated they could contact my husband if they had any questions about... Read more

I came in to do a business deposit and the teller Joan reprimanded me for having a slight cold in three bills. She kept huffing and puffing and glared at me. I apologized and said you just have to unfold them that is all. She became aggressive and rude and said "you should have your money straight his is your job don't ya think?" I was so embarrassed. I would never speak to a customer in that manner. I now do not want to go to this bank!! Read more

This bank ruined my credit after I successfully paid off my car in six years. I took a allowed hardship deferral a few years prior to paying it off. At the last minute, literally at the 11th hour, I was informed by letter that I owed this bank an additional six hundred dollars. Reason. Not accrued interest but accrued principal from when I did this hardship referral. I just lost my job. I was shocked. I could not afford to pay it. Why wasn't I... Read more

I recently tried to make a deposit into a Fifth Third bank ATM to go into my bank account at Huntington to cover a electric bill. First of all I was told that this was ok by my bank which apparently was incorrect. I deposited 140.00, the machine returned my card and 100.00 then shut down. I called them when they opened and was told they would have to count the money and get back to me. They knew the next day that the ATM was 40.00 over so my... Read more

The biggest problem I have with Fifth Third Bank is getting my direct deposits processed on time! Friday, 10/21/2016, my check was direct deposited but their customer service rep said my deposit "wouldn't process into my account until 10/24/2016 and available on 10/25/2016 because "they don't have anyone to process on weekends!" This happened 3 times in 9 months!!! WTF!!!! Read more

I was at your bank in Middletown Ohio at there Kroger office. I was cashing a check from my mother for $25.00 to buy supplies for her. My mother has Myasthenia gravis, which is a disease of the muscles, and is in a nursing home unable to walk. I tried to explain that my moms handwriting would change d/t the weakness in her muscles at different times and that she had been writing these checks for over 3 years and it was never the same. Also I... Read more

I originally signed up for lifetime free checking and savings years ago. Then 2 years ago they introduced new fees for checking and savings and refused to honor the lifetime free checking and savings I had signed up for. I got laid off so I didn't have a paycheck to get direct deposited for over a month. Then the $8 per month checking fee kicked in. Nice to be punished for the company I worked for not being run well, running out of money and... Read more
