Hard to get ahold of someone

My mortgage loan was sold to this bank and I cannot get ahold of anyone to pay my mortgage. I sent a check with the voucher and envelope required and its been a month and no payment received. Very difficult to work with them! I hate this bank!

5/3 owes me $6800.00

Fraud check against my 5/3 acct. Oxford OH Teller advised me wrong on Sept 2nd costing me to lose $6800.00. Teller told me the check was good. Someone at 5/3 needs to get this handled. Been a customer of 5/3 since 2001. If the teller had done what she should have done according to other 5/3 locations I would not have lost my money

Terrible customer service with no results, but promises.

Bank card. Waiting for a new card since 10/4. Customer service gave promises after promise. Issued 2 case # by a supervisor, still waiting. Going out of town without a bank card??? HELP PLEASE.

Homeless veteran they want you to be part of the 22 a day veteran stat

I was told missed a payment for March and I have no clue. I was advised stay homeless and if I die hopefully my estate will be enough to cover my bills . From guy name Justin Connor. It hurt my credit report and chances to get housing. He said it came down from fifth third Ceo and he was the last stop for disputes. You are a number and not a human. They hate veterans it's just screw you pay me. I'm current on my payments. Veterans please stay away from this bank

Abusive Consumer Practices

I will keep my review brief. Virtually all of the 1-2-3 star reviews on this site cover experiences I have had.

Up front I will tell anyone who has had a bad experience to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the consumer protection office of your state Attorney General, your congressman / Senator's office if they support consumers. This Bank has no respect for it's customers. They care about those other reporting avenues and trends show a pattern of damaging conduct to consumers whether they are legal or just plain unethical.

I have had a mortgage with them for 12 years. They have always been poor with communicating anything urgent (payment change, payment receipt issue).

Last month they did not apply my normal over payment to my mortgage. I had no notifications in my electronic account, email and they left no messages when they called from spam numbers (they said its against their policy to leave a voicemail message for a customer- seems like they have no real interest in getting a response)

I found out the payment was being held by accident when I logged in (after calling to reset my account after being locked out as usual because their IT systems are terrible) I made an immediate payment which they made the excuse of waiting to apply until Monday assuring they could count me late. Their justification being they couldn't take a payment on a non business day- funny they can set a due date on a non business day. Isn't that a racket- set a date you can't pay on and then count you as late.

Their calls come from literal spam callers and if you pick up there is dead silence for 15-30 seconds making you think robo call and you just hang up.

There is no way to know they are trying to reach you.

They put no notifications in the online account.

I have yet to see them send out a timely mail notification. There is no post mark on the mailing to maximize their ability to feign they have followed the bare minimum of the law to send out a notice. But their actions are clear, do everything possible to reduce the probability that the consumer can respond- and why? My opinion, damage credit reports to ensure consumers are forced into high fee predatory financial products.

It dropped my credit report 80 points. This bank is literally the only late reporting i have on my report. They have done this twice in 4 years.

My recommendation it to avoid all business with this Bank.

If you need more review input just google the bank and lawsuits and look through reviews on multiple sites. the abusive treatment of customers is a large clear trend.

Fifth Third Bank - Very poor customer service and lack of mortgage knowledge.

Recent widow can't get credit because I have no credit cards and 5/3 bank says my dead husband is the only one on the mortgage so they can't report my payment history on the mortgage to the credit bureaus. This is one of the reasons for not getting credit, "lack of credit history".

I have the recorded documents saying that I am on the mortgage. They refuse to accept this. The mgrs.

at the local branch did not do anything to resolve this problem. They just insisted that the mortgage was only in my dead husbands name, would not look at the documents and basically said, it was my problem, so deal with it.

Preferred solution: acknowledge my name on recorded mortgage and the results of my credit history be reported to the credit bureaus. The mortgage is paid on time every month by automatic withdrawal from my checking account with 5/3 bank.

User's recommendation: Unless you are able to manage your accounts this is not the bank for you. You will get no assistance in resolving problems.

Over draft

Account was in the neg. $22 and some change i tried deposit the money when we found out but the atms was down and it was after business hours i literally left work to deposit it but couldnt so when i got off work around 130am i went back and deposited $24.

But they still hot me with a 37 over draft fee. Then when i called the supervisor was rude and said well u shouldnt use money u dont have. One its my sons account he is still learning he just turned 18. Two i tried to get it in before midnight but the atm was down and i couldn't wait around for it and didnt have time to drive 20 min down the rd.

To another one.

Im starting to understand why everyone told us not to go there. I feel the fee could of been waived he hasnt over draft his account alot we was 2 hours late of getting the $$ in there and i tried to get it.

I transferred $100 to my old credit card and called right away instead of credited me they took the money out of my current credit card and still a month later no credit!! Even the superior said they would fix it not so
