I took my 87 year old mother who had dementia to the 5.3 branch to close her 25 year old checking and savings accounts. I am now fully managing her finances and have FPOA.
Six weeks later I find her acts were not closed, as had been done in the branch, and is accruing overdraft charges for monthly fees on a closed account. After 3 hours on the phone I have no solution except to take a vacation day to redo the whole process.
Horrible bank, horrible customer service, their mistake has become my big problem. Shame on 5.3!!!
