I took my 87 year old mother who had dementia to the 5.3 branch to close her 25 year old checking and savings accounts.I am now fully managing her finances and have FPOA.
Six weeks later I find her acts were not closed, as had been done in the branch, and is accruing overdraft charges for monthly fees on a closed account. After 3 hours on the phone I have no solution except to take a vacation day to redo the whole process.
Horrible bank, horrible customer service, their mistake has become my big problem.Shame on 5.3!!!
