Terrible and completely incompetent

On 3/23/2020 I made an online charge using their credit card Purchase did not work and I could not get the seller to respond so I disputed the charge with Fifth Third Bank They did absolutely nothing and took me 13 emails to get them to even respond. Since they did nothing I played detective -contacted seller- got a return authorization and sent defective product back I sent Fifth Third Bank the USPS tracker Number for their records They ignore it charged the bill back to me and started charging service fees They also sent my file to credit companies and my FICO score dropped 106 points in ten days The 33.99 bogus charge now shows I owe them 147.67

User's recommendation: Run away as fst as you can or they will burn you.

Switch checking account without my knowledge

Do Not switch people accounts without their knowledge. I had to waste over one hour of my time on the phone to go into the correct checking tier. (You of course switched me to high tier without my knowledge.) The 800 number operators were polite. You need to teach your branch bankers to have people skill and be more polite. Did not even apologize for this screw up ( i realize it may not be his fault but still....) John Boujaoude

Upset

I was told to email regarding a dispute. Assistant at branch neglected to state all involving facts. I questioned this. Was told no more was needed. My dispute was denied. I am not only upset about the denial, but the lack of an easy way to navigate your website to either email or message your bank regarding the details of money that was taken thru Zelle that was not was not my appro

first of all, the assistant at the bank to be fully informed to help customers. Second to be able to present my entire dispute regarding the fraud of $600.00 from my acct that I did NOT approve.

Direct Deposit

I was told that beginning in July 2021 I would have access to my direct deposit 2 days early and I got it. Come August 2021 it quit and I called to find out why anthey gave me run around

User's recommendation: Don't bank here. Things will start out like they tell you then go sideways and it's always your fault. Extremely undependable to get back with you.

Every time I make a call to fifth third bank, no one picks up phone. many time i had to wait for hours and still no one pick up i had to go to the branch for any questions.

Customer service closed at night. what kind of crap is that. Never able to get help at night. How can u log in fro help when account locked due to password issues?

Money has not been received it came out of my account

Money came out of my account on Wednesday and my grandson still has not received said it would take 24 to 48 hours and I have sent Zelle before and it never took that long usually within a few minutes

My issue wasn't resolved. Customer service was horrible . Processing a check shouldn't be this difficult. They care more about ending a call quickly than actually solving a customer issue.

Figure out the computer glitch that allowed a payment to get processed from an account that is not accessible on my end and remove the late payment from my credit history.

Extremely unhappy with treatment provided by them last year over online transfers without any transfers put through!! Even after being a customer of theirs for years!!!!

Closed accounts for no real reasons except passing judgements and not being understanding to any circumstances and completely out of line in how they handled the situations still putting life on the everyday as I'm a military family member with spouse in military!!! Completely unsatisfactory on how they treated me and still no resolutions til this day and this was August 2020
